The Winter Blues - More Info About SAD

Winter BluesThank you for stopping by Seasonal Mood Disorder 365 tonight! Seasonal Mood Disorder, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, is often referred to as the winter blues.

Though many sufferers of the disorder do experience symptoms only in the winter time, this is not the case for all sufferers.

The seasonal differences in sunlight are often a large factor in the disorder. Many patients who have been diagnosed with SAD are treated with light therapy, but this method isn't always the right solution for everyone.

There are many studies being conducted about the disorder, so hopefully soon we will know a lot more about what the disorder really is, what causes it, and how to treat it.
