What is Negative Air Ionization?

negative air ionization
Negative air ionization is actually one of the main causes of winter depression. Scientists have been trying to figure out the cause of SAD over the years and this seems to be the most logical answer. After all of the research done, it is shown that negative air ionization really causes most cases of SAD. This process causes the light particles in the air to lose their luster and in turn, causes chemical reactions in the body. The body releases these negative chemicals from the brain and thyroid. This release leads to depression, hallucinations, and other weird maladies. But, it can all be cured now.

What is Bright Light Therapy?

bright light therapy
People use bright light therapy to counteract the effects of SAD. Seasonal affective disorder usually occurs during the winter time when there is a lack of sunlight and activity. To take care of this, doctors have come up with this therapy that simulates the sun within your home. Basically, what you do is put up a bunch of lamps throughout the house. Whenever you are doing something, make sure all of these lamps are on and at full power. This gives the person a feeling of being outside and in the sun. It has been proven to work and cure the disorder.

What is the Code for Seasonal Affective Disorder?

code for seasonal affective disorder
The code for seasonal affective disorder is basically shorthand of SAD. "Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a problem which, if I remember correctly, the experts claim is caused by reduced sunlight caused by the shorter days starting in fall, winter, and possibly extending into spring. It supposedly affects some people, probably a small percentage of the population, but is often described in the news as a simple fact, implying it happens to everyone." You may have seen some people who have been affected by it. It is usually very minor and can be cured with a small amount of therapy. Make sure to get it checked out.

What is Seasonal Mood Disorder?

seasonal mood disorder
Seasonal mood disorder seems to be more and more common in the United States. Much of the population is not happy with the way their lives are and when the season changes, all of these pent up emotions come out. From there, it is all downhill as the condition becomes a disorder and gets worse. For people that get sad in the winter, it is due to fact that they are lonely in the holiday season and also because the snow does not allow for much mobility. One can always go consult a psychiatrist for the proper meds to fix the disorder. My advice is to just suck it up and get over it.

The Cause of Winter Depression

winter depression
Winter seems to be right around the corner and for many; this is when winter depression sets in. It seems to be more prevalent on the East Coast because all of that snow locks people into their homes for the season. Basically, all people do is go to work and come home. You know the saying, all work and no play makes a person so insane. So, this is what usually causes winter depression: always being cooped up. To make things better, doctors have recommended that people find ways to have fun at home. Maybe set up a scavenger hunt to spice things up.
